Hops, hops and more hops. But this beer isn’t a one dimensional hop bomb – it’s perfectly balanced as well. Lively and summery, with a refreshing hop aroma and great body – it’s a beer that delivers on every level.
Armed with nothing more than a pair of wellies, some old steel tanks and a rusty Peugeot 205, Nick built his brewery with blood, sweat and tears.
Why did he do this? Simply because he wanted to make great beer.
Today demand has meant that we have moved out of the garden, and we also have slightly shinier tanks, but Nick’s original ambition still stands. We love making great beer. That’s what we do best and everything we do revolves around that fact.
So whether you are drinking one of our much loved cask, keg or bottled beers, or trying one of our monthly specials, you can be sure that you are drinking a beer of outstanding quality, brewed with real passion, by people who just want one simple thing – to make great beer.

At Hambleton we love malt as much as we love hops. And Nightmare Legend shows exactly why. Maris Otter, Roasted Barley, Crystal and Chocolate Malts form the silky backbone of this smooth, strong Porter. There’s no harshness like some; just biscuity richness and gorgeously decadent dark caramel flavours.

The brewing magic doesn't happen by accident... well, not all of the time
Nick started Hambleton Ales back before brewing was cool. Armed with some old tanks and a rusty Peugeot 205 he built the brewery with blood sweat and tears.. and bricks.I really hope he used some bricks.
Rach is the next generation Stafford. Nick's daughter, but don't hold that against her. Rach ensures the business runs smoothly and efficiently despite Ben's best efforts.
Hugely experienced brewer John ensures we produce great beer every day, and keeps the Brewery operating at the highest standards
Ben manages the brewery and contract packaging operation on a day to day basis, although his fear of paperwork means he relies hugely on support from Rach and John
