Hambleton Ales was established in 1991 in the heart of Hambleton District, North Yorkshire and produces high quality, exceptionally made beers for sale in local pubs and shops. The brewery also offers its years of expertise to other craft breweries in the region by providing contract brewing and packaging services.
As a small family business we never compromise on the quality of our ingredients, our beer or the service to our customers. Our beer is hand crafted in small batches, each produced with care and skill by one of our brewing team. Our bottling line and kegging machine are setup specifically for low volume production runs, and are overseen by skilled operatives who are specially trained to look after and maintain the quality of the beer being packaged.
This attention to quality has led to many awards, both for our own beers and those of our contract packaging customers. We won the first ever CAMRA Champion Winter Beer of Britain in 1997 with our Nightmare Porter and have continued to win CAMRA and SIBA awards annually since. In 2015 our Gluten Free Ale won the title of the UK’s and Europe’s Best Speciality Gluten Free Beer at the World Beer Awards, our Thoroughbred Pale Ale won Best Beer at the 2015 Taste Awards and our Nightmare Porter was crowned CAMRA Champion Beer of Yorkshire 2015.
